Molly Luetkemeyer founded M. Design Interiors in 2001. From the outset, her mission has been to guide her clients to create personal, comfortable, chic homes that reflect their needs and particular tastes. Luetkemeyer's mantra is that no one should live in a showroom or someone else's house. If you are a family of four with young kids, you probably don't need the bar front and center—although she'll happily make sure it's tucked away for decompressing once parental duties are done! Inspired by a range of sources from modern and contemporary art to nature, fashion and vintage design books, Luetkemeyer has developed a fresh, expressive, lively style all her own. She takes a unique approach to each project, combining her personal inspiration with a thorough understanding of each client's needs. Her creative style has earned her a place on House Beautiful's list of Top 100 Designers in America four years running.

A little history: Luetkemeyer came to Los Angeles while working on a film with director Mike Nichols. The moment she stepped off the plane, she knew she was here to stay. The bright California sunshine and the casual glamour of the homes, hotels and restaurants inspired her instantly and when the film wrapped, she found an apartment and immediately enrolled in the prestigious Interior Design program at UCLA. While there, she augmented her class work with on the job experience at Kelly Wearstler's burgeoning firm, KWID, and in the offices of renown designer Antonia Hutt. Once her schooling was completed, Luetkemeyer began taking on clients and has been hard at work ever since. Her client roster includes Hollywood A-listers, entertainment industry insiders, and stylish people from all walks of life who are looking for an injection of color and creativity in their space. Recent projects include a family friendly Franklin Canyon residence, a modern Venice Beach bungalow, a 1920s Hancock Park gem, and a glamorous 1960s home in Bel Air. M. Design has expanded outside of the L.A. metropolitan area with projects in New York City and Chicago.

The firm has been profiled in numerous publications (see Press Page) and is thrilled to be included in their first book, Designers Here and There by Michele Keith. Additionally, Luetkemeyer lent her design savvy to TLC's hit series Clean Sweep as one of its three regular designers. Check out Molly's blog MollyLoot for all the things that keep her excited and inspired in the world of design.

A Buffalo, NY native, Kate enjoys sunny weather, travel, quoting '80s comedies, and deal hunting for vintage furniture and accessories.
