M. Design Interiors, Inc. has established a reputation for a fresh and creative approach to interior design.  Founded in January 2001 by Molly Luetkemeyer, M. Design’s place in the design world has been solidified with its inclusion for the past four years on House Beautiful’s list of Top Designer’s In America.

While a student in UCLA’s prestigious Interior Design program, Luetkemeyer augmented her work in the classroom with on the job experience.  She worked with Kelly Wearstler at her burgeoning design firm, kwid, assisting on several of the firm’s high profile projects, including the Avalon Hotel and Maison 140, both in Beverly Hills.  In her final year at UCLA, Luetkemeyer was recruited by one of her professors, renowned interior designer, Antonia Hutt.  She assisted on a range of residential jobs, which were featured in House Beautiful, Interior Design and Los Angeles Times Magazines.

Upon completing the UCLA program, Luetkemeyer put her educational and practical job experience to immediate use by forming her own company.  Recent projects in the Los Angeles area include: the 1920s home of a high profile couple in the entertainment industry; a two bedroom apartment in the historic El Royale building; the Hollywood Hills home of a successful British television producer; and the residences of several film and television actors ranging in style from eclectic modern to classic California bungalow. M. Design has expanded outside of the L.A. metropolitan area with residential projects in New York City: the Manhattan apartment of a magazine publisher and the co-op apartment of an Academy Awardâ winning screenwriter; in Chicago, a restaurant in the tony Lincoln Park neighborhood.  With the addition of senior designer, Farrah Dragon, in January 2004, M. Design expanded its ability to take on multiple large projects at once while still continuing to provide close personal attention to clients.

M. Design’s design style has been profiled in numerous publications (see attached list).  In 2002, Luetkemeyer was selected to participate in the House Beautiful Celebrity Showhouse in Brentwood, CA where her boy’s “surf” bathroom garnered rave reviews.  In 2003, she was again asked by House Beautiful to contribute her design skills for their acclaimed charity auction.  This time, Luetkemeyer created a classic Chippendale chair with a contemporary twist.  Additionally, she is one of three regular designers on TLC’s hit series, Clean Sweep. M. Design looks forward to participating in the forthcoming West Coast eBay Showcase house in Hancock Park.
